I wish I could have seen you at the school canteen,

Waiting in line for the food to come in,

Complain about how it's taking so long,
Find a table for two and then talk some more.

I wish I could seen you at the school canteen,
Nor walking on the city streets,
Stop a while and have a chat,
Forget what's happened in between.

I wish I could have seen you at the school canteen,
While you drop a book or something,
So I could help you pick it up,
Just like on the movie scenes.

Somehow I finally forgot to see you at the school canteen,
Waiting in line for the food to come in, 
Wanted to complain about how it's taking so long,
But instead, I did nothing.
